You Need This Disney Contemporary Sticker

“The Florida Project” was a codename the Disney company used during the developmental stages of Walt Disney World. Walt and his colleagues were thinking big this time around, enough land to create a utopia undisturbed by cheap motels and other tourist traps. The Florida Project would dwarf Disneyland. Hotels were always an integral part of the WDW equation, and when Magic Kingdom opened in October 1971, there were two resorts on the park’s monorail circuit: the Polynesian and the Contemporary.

A staple of the Magic Kingdom experience, the Contemporary’s unique A-frame design is viewable by monorail and ferry as you approach the gates of The Most Magical Place on Earth. It’s also one of the most luxurious hotels on Disney property, and doesn’t every deluxe-tier resort warrant its own sticker? We thought so, and our homage to ‘70s Disney architecture shows the iconic resort on a peaceful night.

Our Contemporary sticker features a matte finish and white backing. At 3 inches tall and 2.44 inches wide, it’s an excellent size for notebooks and planners, but it could just as easily go on a water bottle or thermos. All of our designs are die-cut, vinyl, and waterproof — so do your worst, Disney World thunderstorms.

Decades later, and it’s still a marvel to watch the monorail trailing through the building, carting guests to and from parks and other WDW experiences. If you’re the kind of WDW fan that knows every nook and cranny of the realized Florida Project, this sticker is for you. If you’ve never heard of the Contemporary before, this sticker is for you, too. And now you know about a crazy-looking hotel at Disney World.

What about the rest of the resorts on the Magic Kingdom monorail circuit? Fortunately, we have stickers for the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, too — and you can even buy all three as a set, which also comes with a red monorail sticker! Head to MagicalStickerShop.com for even more Disney Parks-inspired designs.
